time to splurge

This week, Meredith is doing your biggest splurges on Shopping in Your Closet. Now- I have to say, I do not believe in paying full price for anything. All of the things I post here I got huge big on sale. And I mean that. However, since I think just purchasing the brand (for example) is a splurge, and if I had paid full price... these would be massive splurges for me. So, without further ado...

This first dress I bought with my hubby's cousin's wedding in mind. It's an Alice + Olivia dress and it's to die for. The pictures in no way do it justice. It's empire waisted and the fabric hangs so prettily... HOWEVER, with my 2 + cup size increase during pregnancy and nursing, I cannot fit into the dress at the moment and it's all in the bust. Bummer. I love it.

These are the most adorable Betsey Johnson shoes, and I wish I had gotten them in black and white as well! I love them, I love the natural cork, I get SO many compliments on them!

My next two are Burberry "splurges"-- I got them so on sale that both together were under $100 and that's amazing.

I love swimwear, but I don't love how much they charge women for swimwear. I never, ever, ever pay full price for mine and I believe that if you wait long enough you can get a killer suit for under $30. However, after having a baby, I didn't want to put my body into a bikini (oh my gosh, do I have some cute ones!) because I can't stand my bust line. This Juicy Couture suit is adorable on, so retro and flirty. I adore it- I'll wear it long after I'm done with my "baby" body.

Finally... these beautiful babies are on their way to my house (more than 70% off!!) for the holiday season. I. CANNOT. WAIT.

Of course, I consider my Burberry wellies a splurge but they're in my car and can't be photographed, and my diaper bag is a splurge, but as much as I'll use it, I think I'll get my money's worth, so I didn't include it. Seriously, folks, keep me away from shoes. I love them.
