welcome home

This past week has been a great one for our family!
Last Tuesday, Zach's cousin Bo and his sweet wife Valerie welcomed their first son, William Colt. He is a precious little bundle of baby love. I wish I had photos to share, but as he's not mine, I don't feel that it's my place to be the first one to post them. You'll have to wait until the sip & see ;)
Last Friday, our best friend Cory came to town so that he could come with us as we PICKED UP MY DAD at the airport! He finally moved home, after 3 1/2 years of living and working in Doha, Qatar!
We were thrilled, beyond thrilled, to finally get to celebrate something that has been a constant bring-down for the family.
(also, how awesome is my BFF for coming to town? he's just the best.)

My mom's been planning my dad's homecoming since he first settled on a new assignment back here in Houston.
She hung a huge banner off the front of their house...

And decided no regular car would do when bringing him home...

Nor would it be appropriate for said car to be empty...

So my dad had quite the posse of people to pick him up! He didn't know we all were coming, he was so surprised! Liam, of course, was shy at first but warmed up once we got back in the car.

We headed back to my mom and dad's house for pizza, snacks, champagne and Sprinkles cupcakes.
We enjoyed their MASSIVE patio...

And played with the bubbles with Liam and Cooper.

It was such a fun day- such an exciting time for us! It's so nice to know that my dad is 5 minutes down the road, and if I need help with something, I don't have to worry about us getting time to do it before he leaves again. *aaaaaaah*

SPECIAL thanks to you, CORY!
Dad keeps saying how good it was to see you- you're certainly a special part of our family! Liam is a very lucky boy, to have you as his Godfather!
