wild weekend

It's been a crazy weekend.

And I haven't felt much like blogging. Much to my chagrin, I realized today it'd been 6 days since my last post (all of the Port A posts were scheduled) so I figured it was just about time.

Friday, my little brother drove in to town from college. He hasn't been in since the weekend we got home from Walt Disney World! I had already made Saturday morning 'Introduce-Bradley-to-Crave-Cupcakes' plans for him, and he was happy to oblige by making the trip home.

On Friday, though, a certain little mister started acting kind of poopy. I won't go into the nitty gritty, but needless to say I had signs that his tummy wasn't feeling fantastic.

We opted to stay home Friday night, my in-laws were awesome enough to bring over dinner and we thought a nice evening spent at home would do our little man some good.
He played with a balloon that's as big as he is, that qualifies for a good time....

but he did get sick as we were strapping him into his chair for dinner.
And this kid N-E-V-E-R gets sick. Ever.

But it seemed that getting all that nastiness up really helped because he was back to his old goofy self in no time:

Saturday started out with our aforementioned trip to Crave. Mom, Bradley, Liam and I piled in her car and made the journey to Uptown Park for a sugary breakfast and 4 milks-- in glass bottle, please. Afterwards, we headed to the only Crate & Barrel I know of to do a little wedding shower present shopping- then back to mom's house to deposit potentially melted cupcakes. It's a drive-- Fulshear to Highland Village is no short jaunt. After that, we headed to Katy Mills, I was hoping to find a shirt for Liam to wear that night, and after a successful trip, we headed home.

Saturday night, we headed into Sugar Land to watch our AHS Bulldogs take on the Travis Tigers at Mercer Stadium. I really and truly enjoy high school football, but I just CAN NOT get into the game unless it's the "Dawgs." Liam had a blast. We met up with Zach's parents at my favorite sushi place before hand (they'd never tried sushi before, and it was a fantastic hit!) and then met my mom and brother at the game. We had quite the little section...

Liam had a blast entertaining both of his Grandmas, and after his initial apprehension due to the loud new speaker system FBISD installed, livened up to the game rather well.

We DID discover that Liam was NOT okay with me cheering at the game. Everyone else was allowed to clap and yell, wave their arms and scream, but when I did it (and I LOVE to do it), he'd have a breakdown and start crying. Man. I had to really check myself, and started to get caught up a couple of times, but managed to keep him from a meltdown again.

And I totally found the perfect shirt...
Even though it wasn't the right colors:

We did experience a slight hiccup, when poor Steph felt something wet at Liam's back and upon checking, found out he'd had his *ahem* 4th nasty diaper of the day. Mom and I managed to change him in a ladies' withOUT (who DOES that!?) changing station. But his clothes were so soiled he was forced to wear his sneakers and windbreaker for the rest of the game. At least it was a warm night!! However, we had so much fun, we're planning on going next week as well... it's the Bush game, and the Bush game will always hold a special place in my heart!

Unfortunately, we're still not feeling well around here today. And on top of Liam's still feeling crummy, I have started to fall ill myself. So with 2/3 of the members of the household in a crappy, unwell way, we're spending Sunday at home doing a lot of this:

You can just see it in the poor baby's eyes, can't you?
Ah well, hopefully a full day at home doing nothing will have done him good.

Be looking for our WDW posts this week, I'm going to try to write them tonight after Boardwalk Empire and Bored to Death. Have a fabulous last little bit of your weekend, sweet friends!!
