weeks & weeks worth

Geez, I haven't updated in a-g-e-s.
This is because of one big happening in our little lives since I last blogged, but I'll get to that in a little bit.

Tomorrow, we're baptizing Liam (@ 11 service, friends!) and I discovered today that my memory card on my camera was full, so I uploaded all the pictures I'd taken since I last updated...
133 images later (!!!) I have a lot of fun pictures to show to you.

So I'll write around the pictures, since they kind of direct the flow of the writing.

{valentine's day.}
Liam loves to talk- he talks all. the. time. He talks to me, he talks to the faucet during bath time, he talks to his Dad, he talks to the cat, to the dog, to the television... but he loves to talk to his stuffed animals. He REALLY loves to talk to his stuffed animals.

{raspberries}

{contrary to the evidence, he does enjoy them.}
We're adding a lot of different things to his diet- we've added a lot of berries, and once in a while, we'll throw him a bone and let him try something we're eating. NO MEAT yet, there's no point, says his Doctor (all his good stuff is coming from the formula). But he loves cheese goldfish. If I get the bag out, he comes over and hangs his mouth open, so I have to bite the tail off the cracker, soften it up and then let him have it. Then repeat. We've taken a handful and crushed them into his cereal before, and he loved it. If he's enjoying his food, he makes "yummy" sounds and it cracks me up. You can tell how much he enjoys his food based on how much noise he makes. So easy. My mom and I went to lunch at P. F. Chang's the other day and we got the great wall of chocolate cake to share and they always serve it with berries and raspberry sauce and Liam went to town on the raspberry sauce. He had it all over his mouth by the end of the meal. Goof ball. Today he insisted on trying my broccoli cheddar soup, and he enjoyed that as well. So we're moving in the right direction. Hallelujah.

{enjoying a bottle at panera bread}

{us with my dad's united emirates plane in the background}

{i love my new cow, mommy}

{um, we NEED bigger diapers}

{fantastic discovery. really. i'm thrilled.}

{doesn't this just scream trouble? so cute!}

So WHAT has kept me so busy?
Last Thursday, while we were getting Liam ready for his bath, we put him down on a blanket and he spotted an Anthropologie catalogue and decided he needed it. So he got up and crawled to it. BAM!
So he's crawling. And crawling. And less than 48 hours after he started crawling, he started trying to pull up on stuff.
Dear. Lord.
I told him I need more than two days between crawling and pulling up. He's keeping me on my toes, we're having to re-learn putting things out of his reach. Luckily, our house was built with nifty protection in place in our outlets, so until he's bigger, we won't have to put plug covers in, but Zach has started having to put his shoes away, he can't leave things on the floor (he likes to leave the remote or his video game controllers on the floor) anymore and expect the baby to ignore them.
I can hardly keep up with him. He's crawled into Jethro's bed with him twice now, and just today we looked up and he'd crawled into the office and was right in Jethro's face. Then he got around on Jethro's belly, pulled up so he was laying on him and promptly face planted off the other side of his back. Wow. It was funny, though.
He is keeping me busy. But it's a lot of fun. I'm really loving his mobility- it's funny to see what he gets into.

{felt something on my foot, thought it was the cat. not so much.}

{tried to pull up on the toilet paper rolls.}

{tried to pull up on the bookshelf.}

{trying to help dad out.}

{going to see jethro.}

{playing with jethro's toes.}

{sittin' with my big dog.}

That's all for now, I just had to get some of these pictures out there- I know I'll take a lot tomorrow, so I figured I'd better not try to squash all these into his "Liam got baptized, look how cute" post.
Happy weekend!!
