I was feeling inspired by beautiful Ivy to show you some of my favorite things I've come across this week. Or rather, lately. You know.
{btw: Ivy has the *best* favorites this Friday!}
Firstly- this fabulous wedding gown by Johanna Johnson takes my breath away. For a long, long time I wanted to buy a vintage 30's or early 40's gown for my wedding, but didn't ever really pursue it because of the logistics. Had these been out when I'd been looking, the whole wedding might have been different. I think I could have rocked this look.

We're new homeowners with no fireplace. Not that I want one (I don't want one until I'm toddler-less because I need logical minds around a fire), but sometimes the warm and cozy aspect is something I miss. Enter these simple looking little surprises! These Sweet Vanilla Spa Booties are designed to go in the microwave to warm your tootsies and release a luscious vanilla-orchid scent. *sigh* Too bad they're out of stock, and have been for a-g-e-s. I don't want the coconut lime!
(GREAT GIFT FOR AN EXPECTANT MOMMY!!)

Dear Evan,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for winning. You were wonderful. You were magnificent. I am so glad you beat Evgeni Plushenko. He was a smug gold medalist, and he's a sore loser. It gave me great satisfaction to see an American man win the gold. I've been watching figure skating for years and years, and all I can say is- it's about time! Whoo!

Once in a while, I cheat on OPI. Very rarely, but I am guilty on occasion. I should never do it. Ever. I'm especially loving the Alice in Wonderland Collection right now. I'm currently rocking Thanks So Muchness on my fingers and toes, after wearing Off With Her Red for Valentine's Day. I've got Mad As A Hatter and Absolutely Alice coming in the mail. They're pretty shades, and while I don't agree with this blogger's review of Off With Her Red, you get to see what gorgeous colors they are! So ready to rock that fantastic shade of blue!

I don't typically eat breakfast. This morning I did. While Liam did. Yumm-o.

So we all know that some of our favorite designers are revisiting the trends of our youth. Example: Jellies by Tory Burch, Chanel and Burberry. Now Chanel has gone even further: TEMPORARY TATTOOS. I know, WHAT?!?! But honestly- I'm really loving the look in the second picture. And the fact that no needles are involved. Wussy-friendly. But I'm not sure that any temporary tat, even a Chanel one, is worth $75.

And finally, would any PP&PB post be complete with out pictures of little Mr. Bitty? Nope! This morning he decided to let me know that he was tired of watching hour upon hour of Curling (me too, to be honest) and wanted to find himself a DVD. He quite literally pulled over a whole stack on top of himself (and got a little mouse under his left eye to prove it) and found the one he wanted to watch. And did he ever watch it. He was ENTHRALLED for a good 50 minutes, at least, which is pretty good in baby land!
{this one, mom}

{As an aside: I beseech you all, please, please, PLEASE practice responsible dog ownership. Make sure your dog knows who is boss. Make sure that your dog knows that biting is NOT acceptable. Practice quiet calm and assert yourself over your dog. If your dog is aggressive or possessive, you need to take control of the situation and not let it escalate. And please, don't blame your Vet for your dog's bad behavior. That's like blaming your pediatrician for your child's temper tantrum.}
HAPPY FRIDAY, LOVES!!!
1 kind words:
by the way, I absolutely LOVE figure ice skating. and I, too, am so happy for Evan :D :D :D
[I was the world's biggest Michelle Kwan fan growing up, so I'm partially happy for Frank Carroll to finally have an Olympic gold medalist in his repetoire of skaters :)]
