What a dreary, nasty day! I spent most of the day yesterday hunched over the dog's bed on the floor, trying to stitch up one whole side after he'd chewed it up in a panic. I don't mind the occasional fix for something, but my dog's bed is big enough that I can curl up on it, so you have a general idea of how long it took me to sew it up by hand. Also, I think I'm trying to get sick, which is really inconvenient. I don't have time to get sick!
Besides spending my days cleaning the house in preparation for my landlord's showing it to potentials for next year, I have been diligently packing away my pre-pregnancy clothes. Since we're moving out of this house in May, and the baby is due in July, there's no point to keeping my closets and hamper crowded with clothes I won't be able to wear until maybe August or September. I'm hoping the former, not the latter, naturally. I've even threatened Zach with hanging all my swim suits around our bedroom to help motivate me to lose my baby weight. I'm even trying to talk him into agreeing to a tropical vacation for our family of 3 next summer, when he actually has earned vacation time! That really WOULD be motivation, huh?
We're heading back to Sugar Land on Friday- Zach's Aunt Betty is coming in from the Phoenix area and we're going to be celebrating her birthday on Saturday. Also, Zach needs to do laundry like crazy. Poor guy is stuck in Dickies coveralls for this week and next and he has 2 pair. Well, it worked when we had a washer that worked. Thankfully, we were able to get the washer to fill up for us once last night, so we washed the coveralls real quick and the washer hasn't worked since. Oh well! He's gotten them clean enough to wear for the rest of the week, thankfully. One pair had been in the bed of his truck for... well, God only knows and smelled pretty skunky when he brought them inside.
Finally, I'll leave you with some pictures!
Me and my maternal grandparents! (at their house)
My Grandma Small, Momma and Me (and baby)! (at Grandma's house... my Grandma's whole house is decorated in pastels, namely pastel pink and seafoam green. It's... very Easter- eggy.)
Me and my beautiful cousin, Sarah. (We're at the funeral home, and you can see a picture of Grandpa Rodney in the background, holding my cousin Connor, the youngest of the grandkids)
Sarah, Aunt Leslie, Momma and Me. My dad snuck in, and didn't give much warning.
My dad's Aunt Mae, Uncle Bob, Me and my brother. If you look at our cheeks and nose, you can tell that Uncle Bob and I are related! Bob's my Grandpa Rodney's brother. His twin, Rodman, couldn't make it to the funeral. Bob's so sweet, though, and he lives in Amarillo, so that's kind of cool. Bob and Mae took to me, I can't tell you how many times Uncle Bob hugged me at the viewing and the funeral. He knew how much Grandpa Rodney loved me, and told me he talked about me all the time, so I think it was nice for him to meet me. I loved getting to spend time with him!
