Well, I was planning on doing this post in a few days, but I've got nothing to do and no husband to entertain, so I thought I'd show you how exciting my weekend was!
Jethro and Emmy: Best Friends Forever! These two love each other so much, aren't they cute?
The nursery is a work in progress... the colors are so much more beautiful in person!
(we're only going to have one bed in the room, obviously. but once the crib is taken down, the other bed can move back in.)
Characters on the wall. We're not using the pre-made stickers. Roger just bought them to get an idea of where he wanted to place the characters and such. Roger was going to sketch out the characters last night.
I have to admit it, I'm slightly obsessed with this ceiling lamp that Roger found. It's too, too cute.
I love the colors! Roger's going to add depth with shadows, and he's going to add white chair rail between the two shades, and is going to paint corals and the reef as a background. It's going to be a-mazing! My mother-in-law is working on that pretty quilt...
The base of the lamp on the dresser. There's a light in the corals that we can use as a night light.
Oh my gosh- how much is my baby boy going to love to play with that big 'ol Nemo?
After we found out we were having a boy, and after we'd told the grandparents at lunch, we made a car caravan and ran to Babies R Us to shop for our sweet little boy.
Here's what Mommy and Daddy picked up. We bought a lot less than the grandparents! I picked out the two sleepers. Zach loved the swim trunks and rash guard. I picked up socks to match the crabby sleeper, and we found those crocodile slippers with rattles in the toes and thought they were funny. That's how we shop. Ha.
The stash that Grandma and Grandpa Clark brought home...
I adore the dinosaur onesie, and Zach picked out the one with the shark... shocking I know.
Roger spotted the dinosaur t-shirt and had to get it, because at 4 my baby's daddy was correcting people on dinosaur species. It's really cute, and the camo shorts are pretty cute too.
After a long day of playing, Emmy and Jethro tuckered out on the couch together. They are so cute, aren't they?
So that was my Friday and Saturday in a nutshell. We had a lot of fun shopping for clothes. I will post again soon about us and how we're feeling about everything and all, but right now, it's time to go because my hubs FINALLY got home!
